The bulk of this publication is an annotated bibliography of literature (books, monographs, reports, articles, and papers) of value for policy makers, practitioners, academics, and citizens who are concerned with justice issues and projects in Canada's Aboriginal communities. The scope of justice in this publication extends to include laws, justice practices and processes, policing, and corrections. The annotations describe each work and emphasize its key themes and the issues dealt with. The bibliography is in two parts, the first a contextual and academic bibliography and the second covering evaluations, manuals, and programs. Additional sections provide a short background or context for locating or placing Aboriginal justice initiatives and a short compilation of chief lessons learned from the previous justice initiatives.
