Author Edward Parrish Ware's stories of former-cowboy-turned detective Tug Norton ran for nearly 50 short stories and novelettes which recounted the cases of the Kaw Valley Detective Bureau of Kansas City, and are frequently considered some of the best hard-boiled detective stories so see print in Flynn's.
