Author Description

This journal celebrates rebirth and growth after a long season of darkness. The poems ( & fragments from longer poems) are from Aubrey de Veve's "May Carols" and other works which were published around 1857. These are hymns to the beauty of renewal, the mystery of nature and the deeper mysteries of the Mother of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary. The poems ooze with ecstasy, humility and hope all at once. Whether your "May Song" is coming after a long loneliness, or a hard season that has lasted years, use these poems next to your writing to break the frost and celebrate, ponder and explore yourself in the painful and glorious process of rebirth. Most of the pages of the book have poems on half the page with blank lines for journal writing on the other side of the page. The last 20 pages of the book are completely blank lined pages.
