Author Description

The lives of a young Japanese woman as well as those of several American POWs held at a prisoner of war camp in Burma are revealed in a manuscript a young girl has been ordered to destroy. Her Grandmother's last wishes were for her ashes to be spread and the manuscript burned. Yet in these pages is the story of pain, anguish, and love. Determined to do as her Grandmother asked, yet curious of its contents, the young girl learns that in life there are people and experiences that are even greater than the sky.
