This book was born out of a desire to make "Sangatsuki" by Nakajima Atsushi, a well-known high school textbook and a personal favourite of mine, accessible to a broader audience. I have reinterpreted and translated the complicated expressions of Japanese literature into a language that is as easy to understand as possible, even for elementary school children. The story is about Li Chuan, who lost his dream of becoming a famous poet and turned into a tiger and tells his friend Yuan Chen about his karma. The final scene of the story, in which Li Chuan's pride keeps him from honing his talent and isolating himself from society, is a scene that still evokes strong sympathy in modern times.
