
Describes Indigenous partnerships in the management of three protected areas - Nitmilik National Park, which is jointly managed by Jawoyn traditional owners and the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Service; Boodooree National Park which is jointly managed by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council and Parks Australia; Dhimurru Indigenous Protected Area which is managed by Dhimurru Land Management Aboriginal Corporation with the support of the Northern Territory and Australian governments; the three case studies are three productive management partnerships; outlines the critical success factors in the three case studies; recommendations for future co-management arrangements.
