This workshop serves as a crash-course in the modern English haiku form. By the end of the workshop, participants will have covered a wide range of material, studied examples of techniques in published haiku, written a few haiku or their own, and developed the confidence, skills, and understanding to continue writing in this form.This book is intended for use in a haiku workshop with an instructor. Although the explanations and exercises can be followed without an instructor, the optimal use of the book is to have someone there who can answer questions, add depth to the minimalist descriptions, and provide feedback.This book is not meant to be comprehensive. It is a starting point in the study and writing of haiku.
