The Program's mission is to promote effective voluntary action that reduces industrial energy use per unit of production, thereby improving economic performance while participating in meeting Canada's climate change objectives. This report describes industry achievements over the year in terms of improvements in energy intensity and efficiency. Includes profiles of sectors such as aluminum, brewery, chemical, dairy, electrical and electronics, food and beverage, general manufacturing, petroleum products, pulp and paper, textiles, transportation equipment manufacturing and wood products. An overview of CIPEC is also provided with information on staff and association members. A glossary of terms is also included.
