This is a journey of discovery around and about our Solar System, to explore how it first formed and eventually the Sun and planets came into being. Our Universe came into being 13.82 billion years ago, and then the formation of a Barred Spiral Galaxy came into being 13.21 billion years ago after the collapse of a giant molecular cloud. Finally about 4.54 billion years ago, in between the Galaxy`s spiral arms, a cloud of interstellar gas collapsed and our Solar System was born. We will commence our journey of discovery by looking at the makeup and composition of the Sun and all the planets in our Solar System, including the Asteroid and Juniper Belts plus the Oort Cloud. We will also look at the history of space exploration involving not only land and space telescopes but also the use of space probes to actually visit and explore the planets. We will examine all of the successful attempts to search for exoplanets outside our solar system, and look closely at the promising results. - A journey of discovery about our own Solar System can now begin!
