The Advanced Houses Program, delivered by the Buildings Group of CANMET, is intended to accelerate the development of appropriate technologies for building innovative low-energy, environmentally friendly houses. This document sets out the technical requirements which are designed to ensure a high standard of performance in the houses built under the Program. The requirements pertain to such matters as air leakage, ventilation systems and equipment, combustion equipment, energy performance, water usage, recycling, environmental management, indoor environment, and monitoring.
