This atlas provides young readers with a look at the world in which we live. Each map emphasizes the distinctive qualities of each region, and is surrounded with colour photographs of places, buildings and objects to give a flavour of a country and its people. Clear annotations pinpoint mountain ranges, lakes and rivers, capitals and other major cities, and international borders. Many of the illustrations are linked to symbols on the map. An easy-to-use index guide lists physical and political features, as well as sites of cultural, historical and environmental interest.
