The Civil Court Practice has been chosen by the Lord Chancellor's Department to ensure all the judges have access to civil court practice and procedure for 2001 in an easy to use and clear format. It is a guide to bringing, defending and appealing proceedings on all three litigation tracks and should be a source of reference for all practitioners whether in the High Court or county courts. The new Green Book provides authoritative and comprehensive coverage of the CPR. Volume one examines procedure in the civil courts and contains the Civil Procedure Rules 1998. Volume two covers general and more specific jurisdiction of the civil courts. Expert commentary and explanatory notes are also included, together with guidance as to the complex transitional arrangements which apply.
