
About the Author NEIL D. PEARSON, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research includes work on the development, estimation, and evaluation of models for pricing and hedging various derivatives and other financial instruments. Dr. Pearson has published papers in a number of academic journals, and is an Associate Editor of both the Journal of Financial Economics and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He has consulted for a number of U.S. and international banks, working on term structure models, the evaluation of derivatives pricing models, and issues that arise in the computation of Value-at-Risk measures. He received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Craig Pearson is presidential advisor on international programs and professor of agricultural policy, the University of Guelph. He has been dean, Ontario Agricultural College, chief scientist with the Bureau of Rural Sciences in the Australian government, and past president of the Canadian Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.Cathy Lee Gibson, MBA, SPHR, PHR, is the Director of Human Resources Management Programs at the Metropolitan Office of Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations in New York City. She holds an SPHR, PHR, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Ithaca College, and an MBA from Pace University. At Cornell Cathy designs and directs the human resources program, teaches, and advises HR professionals on professional development, including the criticality of PHR certification.
