
Presents a cross-curriculum approach to teaching primary school science using readily available materials which takes science out of the laboratory and into the kitchen. Experiments include researching the aeronautical design of a flying orange juice bottle and testing the lung capacity of an asthma sufferer. Emphasis is on a hands-on approach and reinforcing the home-school link. Includes an index. The author is currently a primary school teacher and won the BHP-CSIRO Science Teacher of the Year Award in 1991 for his Tkitchen science' work and for the Ttravelling science' expo he initiated.
