Against the backdrop of globalization, the large-scale contemporary art exhibition "Capital@ Art International" Frankfurt in 2018 explored the multiplicity and contradictions of "capital" in the present context. Here, "capital" no longer confines itself to the traditional notion of money but expands into broader forms, including the human body, behavior, and artificial intelligence. Joseph Beuys's formula "Art = Capital" and Marx's assertion that art shapes rather than mirrors society were reconsidered here. Over twenty global artists, each with their unique language, examined and redefined capital, delving into its multifaceted nature in the modern era. Artists from diverse cultural backgrounds scrutinized the tragedies and farces of modern capital, from impoverished villages to the power struggles of nations, and expressed concerns about the imbalance caused by the influence of artificial intelligence on human behavior and political discourse. The artists raised a question: in the digital age, has art integrated into capital, or does it still retain its function of challenging and critiquing society? 2018@ Capital@ Art International“”“”· “= ”
