I was put out of work in March 1994 due to my epilepsy and I quickly became depressed, but listening to light music and writing poetry helped me greatly. I continued writing poetry until September 1997 and the death of Princess Diana. I never knew the princess personally but I was very grief-stricken over her death. I wrote a comlimentary poem about her in September and could not write poetry again until January 2000. Since the year 2000 I have written much more poetry and improved the poetry that I already had. My wife and I went on Concorde in December 2001 after 9/11 when the prices were very low. You could get anything in the Concorde lounge. I asked for a cup of coffee, a bacon sandwich and a pad and pen to write poetry on. All three came within minutes.
