Cooking the Stars, by Sam Bailey, contains all new poems that are sometimes whimsical, sometimes serious, and often a combination of both. These simple and plain verses may not be as simple as they first appear. A second or third reading may take you somewhere you didn't expect. Or then again, maybe you did.
