This book provides a multi-disciplinary exploration of gender, public health, and disease with a focus on urban areas impacted by climate change. In three sections, global case studies are provided that analyze health risk management strategies in vulnerable populations containing high rates of mortality and disease morbidity. The sections are broadly divided along the themes, of women's health and gendered health challenges, demographic health issues such as aging populations, and the impacts of urbanization on health and the strategies to improve public health in urban areas such as green space projects.
