This textbook completes the Foundations in Law series which covers the seven core subjects of the CPE. The book is written in the easily accessible style of the series and will follow the new CPE guidelines for constitutional and administrative law and the contemporary trend for increased European emphasis, both with respect to the EU and the European Convention on Human Rights. The approach taken is selective, only those topics which form the key elements of the typical syllabus are included. The book assumes that readers are using the book on a first course in this subject and presumes little in the way of pre-existing knowledge.
