Science Fiction. Based in the expanded Star Wars universe (that is storyline outside of the 6 major motion pictures by George Lucas). The timeline of the story is set thousands of years prior to the machinations of episode one: the phantom menace. The Darth Bane series of books, this one being the third in the series, are based on the major character Darth Bane, a sith lord and his development and power across the galaxy.
