Author Description

Nature inspires, frightens, and amazes on a daily basis. The poems in this collection all have something to do with nature - being in it, watching it, the passing of seasons. Whether it is a beautiful winter day (or any of the other seasons) or a patch of wilderness amongst the perfectly tended civilized yards, these poems express the affect that moment in nature had on me. Poetry is personal and intimate. These poems are meant to capture a moment of nature whether it is a beautiful moment in nature, a moment of grief, a momentary thought. This first book of poems is all about nature and how it inspires me with its beauty, cyclical nature, and changeability. Nature changes so quickly, these poems will hopefully help capture a moment for the reader to enjoy and return to often. Using haiku, rhyming, and free form poetry offers a variety of formats for the reader to explore.
