This book is a multi-dimensional slice-of-life from a unique artist. It includes entertaining, improbable and humorous stories from Howard Levy’s wildly varied musical life, poems in different styles that make intangible, personal feelings tangible, and lyrics to highly diverse songs written over a 45-year span. Scattered throughout are line drawings that Howard did in his mid 40’s, when he became obsessed with drawing everything he saw, and some things that he imagined. Howard takes you on a highly personal journey through these modes of expression. Alternately surreal, heartfelt, anxiety-ridden, contemplative, humorous, and ironic, he expresses himself eloquently, giving equal weight to each side of his artistic persona. There are stories that will bring laughter, poems that might give you a lump in your throat, and lyrics that that range from satirical to soulful, bluesy, and deep.
