Alex Lima’s poetic timeframe is a narrative present fabricated from dreams (and nightmares), from past fantasies and those to come. From everything we’re capable of recalling, looking towards prehistoric as well as post-historic times. This is the book, a pseudo-autobiography by a neoyorquino poet from the south, the global south, living in the north, the global north. Alex Lima was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He moved to Brooklyn at the age of fifteen. He is the autor of several books of poetry, his most recent one "Mesa de contentos" (Valparaiso USA). He has served as editor of "Hybrido" magazine for more than ten years, and he is currently the CEO of the Latino Arts Council of Long Island where he is a professor of Spanish at Suffolk County Community College.
