Betty's affairs blind her to the fact that her husband Ray is having a fling with her best friend Kathy Blake.Ray is involved in a car crash on this way home to patch things up with Betty and now lies in a coma in the intensive care unit of the local hospital.Unaware that Ray can hear what is being said Betty pours our her heart until her lover suggests that Ray might become a cripple.Unable to contemplate becoming Ray's carer, Betty schemes how she may kill him. But Kathy suspects and the outcome provides the police with a conundrum.
