Author Description

In addition to Baron Sir Robert Beekman, wife Alice, son Kevin and daughter Elaine, both of whom are teenagers, there is a battle-harden captain of the guard and his combat-wise teenage lieutenant, Kevin. It has a powerful sorceress who mentors Elaine and a love affair between Kevin and a fairy. The group must root out bandits, defeat Scottish invaders and deal with the arrival of pagan gods. Meanwhile Elaine refines her extraordinary power and Kevin develops his skill as a warrior. At the core of the story is reasonably factual presentation of the places and people in 12th Century England.
