The Butterworths Tutorial Series comprises a range of student workbooks, each adopting a problem-solving approach within a discrete area of the law. They are designed to be used either independently by students or as the basis for tutorial discussion. Each Tutorial publication contains a concise statement of the law, a precis of the facts of and excerpts from the leading judgments of appropriate cases, followed by tutorial questions and some suggested arguments for use in answering them. The aim of ADMINISTRATIVE LAW is to simplify this complex area of law by highlighting the principles, practices and institutions that provide mechanisms for the supervision, regulation and structuring of the exercise of the executive power of the government. The text focuses on Commonwealth law, but reference is made to State and Territory law where it is significantly different. The book highlights the core areas of administrative law, merits and judicial review.
