Tampa Bay is known for beaches, fine cigars and the most extreme music on the planet. Heavy metal isn't just music to Draven, a talented 17 year-old bass player-- it's his life. Draven dreams of taking his band to the next level and being a catalyst of creativity for the local metal community. But in Tampa, creativity is measured on how many times you can cover Slayer without getting bored. All of that changes when Maximillian Marx, a record producer, arrives in Tampa. Marx is offering a spot on his label to any musician who can impress him at Tampa's prestigious Crowbar, coincidentally, the location of Draven's next gig. The competition brings out the best, and worst, of the metal community. Suddenly, the community Draven once considered family has turned into a musical war zone, with rock star egos colliding for a chance to be signed. Draven soon finds out that Marx has a hidden agenda when he came to Tampa, and it forces Draven to reconsider all he's even known about music, friendship and even himself.
