Papers of annual conferences (2001-2007) of the Scottish Toward 2010 Council focused on the Commissions that reported to Edinburgh 1020. The lectures had threefold content: (i) assessment of the Commission Report in its original context; (ii) analysis of key developments regarding the theme during the twentieth century; and (iii) consideration of future prospects in relation to the theme.
