It's Baltimore, 1966 and the Snyder family, especially 11 year old Timothy, are excited their beloved Orioles are battling the Dodgers in the World Series. But there are bigger personal conflicts going on at home: Cathy, a high school senior is in love with an older man, and is thinking of foregoing college to move in with him; Michael is letting his hair grow long like his British Invasion heroes and dreams of finally getting out from under his older “Golden Child” brother's shadow by starting a rock band. But Joseph's golden streak has finally ended as he is dragged out of the house in handcuffs. But even though their Father's blood pressure is about to put him in an early grave, their Mom, somehow, holds them all together; until tragedy strikes. It's a typical Baltimore family fighting the outside world with as much passion and mania as they fight each other – but ultimately realizing in the end, that family is the most important thing. 90-100 minutes. 4 females, 8-9 males (11-15 performers possible). Ideal for high schools, youth theatres, universities and community theatres. Published and performances licensed by YouthPLAYS (www.youthplays.com), publishers of plays for young actors and audiences.
