
The catalogue of an exhibition of over 300 pieces of American Indian art collected early this century by Stewart Culin, the founding curator of the Brooklyn Museum. Essays about Culin and the collection are followed by sections on artifacts from the southwest, California, the northwest coast, and the Oklahoma Osage. The exhibit will be at the Brooklyn Museum October to December 1991, at the Oakland Museum February to May 1992, and at the Heard Museum in Phoenix October 1992 to January 1993.
