Pinehurst Resort decided to publish Padgett’s memoirs and hired Lee Pace to ghostwrite the memoir, much as he did for Peggy Kirk Bell. “Padge was dedicated to Pinehurst in every way, but more than that, he was my mentor and friend,” says Pat Corso, president and CEO of Pinehurst. “The best way we can carry on his legacy is to tell his story and let others learn from his timeless wisdom.”
