Presents 44 drug treatment protocols developed from 1996 to December 1998 and first released in quarterly installments of a subscription, loose-leaf publication titled AphA Guide to Drug Treatment Protocols: A Resource for Creating & Using Disease-Specific Pathways. Each protocol begins with a presumed diagnosis and then describes pharmacotherapeutic and pharmaceutical care choices. Information is presented in decision trees and explanatory text, with literature references. An average of 15 health care professionals were involved in developing each protocol, based on current national guidelines and additional scientific literature. Annotation c.
