Part I of this report reviews Elections Canada's main activities since the last general election. Part II describes and analyzes the November 27, 2000, general election under the following themes: launch; special ballots and the Special Voting Rules; communications; readiness in the ridings; preparing the voters lists; election advertising; nominations; advance polls; voting on election day; activities after election day. Part III discusses performance measurement and improvement. Part IV presents tables of preliminary election statistics. The Broadcasting Arbitrator's report appears in the Appendix.
