This report begins with a review of Elections Canada activities since its previous report, including a follow-up to the May 2000 by-election in St. John's West, amendments to electoral legislation, updating the National Register of Electors, information technology initiatives, relations with Parliament & political parties, publications, and international activities. It then reports on by-elections in Nova Scotia & British Columbia, with information on election administration, voter list revisions, voter turnout, and votes obtained by each candidate.
