This collection of essential cases and materials has been prepared with the undergraduate student in mind. As such its aims are straightforward--to cover all of the topics normally encountered in degree courses on contract, and to do so in a way which not only informs the students of the relevant rules and doctrines, but which also engages their interest by presenting these rules against the theoretical backdrop developed by modern contract law scholars. The work provides a rich selection of materials held together by a lucid and critical commentary, giving a balanced picture of the various competing theories.
