
In June 2021 The United Nations General Assembly (unga) Held Its First-ever Special Session Against Corruption (ungass 2021) At Which It Adopted The Political Declaration On Preventing And Combating Corruption (the Unga Political Declaration). In It, Concern Was Expressed About The Seriousness Of The Problems And Threats Posed By Corruption To The Stability And Security Of Societies, Undermining The Institutions And Values Of Democracy, Our Ethical Values And Justice And Jeopardizing Sustainable Development And The Rule Of Law. Further, It Stated That Corruption Is An Impediment To The Achievement Of The 2030 Agenda For Sustainable Development And An Obstacle To The Efficient Mobilization Of Resources And Means For Sustainable Development-- Provided By Publisher.
