In the City of Angels, Gina Nicassio is a young psychic medium, striving to accept her family's ancestral ability to speak to the dead. She is hired by a wealthy Beverly Hills woman realtor to make contact with the woman's deceased five-year-old son. In the process, the realtor dies in what appears to be an accidental death in the posh hillside neighborhood of Beverly Glen Canyon, but presiding LAPD homicide detective Danny Escobar believes it could be murder. Gina becomes a suspect in the death, and with the help of the realtor's dead spirit, she must simultaneously evade the police investigation, implicate the actual murderer, and ultimately unearth secrets about the young son's death that could bring about a redemptive healing for a tortured innocent soul.
