The UK version of this guide was developped by PREST at the University of Manchester, which in turn is based of the final deliverable of the FOREN project(Foresight for Regional Development Network), supported by the European Commission's Research Directorate General STRATA Programme (Strategic Analysis of specific Policy Issues). Similar versions of this guide have also been produced for other Member States of the European Union.
