This textbook addresses training, management development, and problem solving from a total quality management perspective. The text complements Readings in TQM (Dryden, 1994) by focusing on the human dimension of TQM implementation efforts. It takes a hands-on approach to TQM training and implementation and works well as a text or supplement in bringing TQM to the classroom. Clear guidelines demonstrate how to train using TQM principles at the different levels of organizations. Tools and problem-solving models are integrated into the training. Throughout the text, TQM tools are effectively summarized, equipping students with practical knowledge and application. Appendix A provides useful guidance for on-line research of TQM topics, an additional value for the student interested in further research.
