<p><i>Jesus, Why and How?</i> is my response to conversations I have had with Christians and non-Christians about Jesus. The idea to write arose from a survey I have done with college students in the United States. Here are the questions.</p> <ul> <li>Describe your spiritual background. What was it like?</li> <li>Do you believe in God? If so, what is He like?</li> <li>What do you believe is mankind's greatest problem?</li> <li>What do you believe is the solution to mankind's greatest problem?</li> <li>What do you think happens after we die?</li> <li>Who in your opinion is Jesus Christ?</li> <li>If God asked you, "Why should I let you into Heaven?" What would you say?</li> <li>On a scale of 1-10, how good are you? (1 is evil and 10 is perfect)</li> <li>If you could know God personally, would you like to?</li> </ul> <p>In this book, I don't just tell you the answers to these questions, but I explain why the answer is true. This book is not about reciting accepted Christian facts while offering no further explanation in hopes that you will believe them simply because they are written in the Bible. I have an answer, an explanation, for how all those words in the subtitle--Heaven, Sin, Forgiveness, Punishment--relate to each other. My goal in writing was to simply connect three dots for you: a man and woman eating forbidden fruit in an ancient paradise, the promised Messiah, and your life today. You see, people I do surveys with think Adam and Eve's sin was just about them, and it has no concrete link to their own lives. But I can tell you how their deed resulted in God's current negative feelings towards humanity, and I can explain it in a way you have not thought of.</p> <p>My hope is that you will learn to think differently through reading this book, and that you will truly understand why we must follow Jesus.
