Four 26-year-olds go sailing off the coast of Virginia Beach on a perfect October day in 1963. A thunderstorm blows in and they pass through a portal to the over-sized steampunk world of Anareyt. It is a world, like our world, struggling with what human dignity means. It is a world plunging headlong into war. Here there is high adventure, romance, the fight for justice, no fossil fuels, and outrageous contraptions.

Anareyt is a world completely populated by people who were caught in an oceanic portal in our Atlantic Ocean. The earliest inhabitants were sailors following the voyages of St. Brendan the Mariner and Leif Erikson. With no fossil fuels the people of Anareyt became very innovative, inventing various forms of steam-powered devices: by 1963 these included automobiles, biplanes, and flying ships. It is a world of high fashion (if you prefer variations on Victorian chic).

This is an epic adventure, and it is saturated with winsome illustrations. Popular story teller Don Robison partnered with gifted illustrator, Kelley Harris, to bring you The Long Glass Legacy.

Are you coming to Anareyt? Beware: newcomers are particularly vulnerable! Don't forget your map!
