About the Author Ian Bryan Alfred Ian Bryan was born in Dickson, Tennessee in 1974. His family moved frequently before settling in Memphis in 1982. After leaving home at 17, he held residence for 2 years in Atlanta and 5 years in Chicago. Ian studied art and architectural history at The University of Memphis before concentrating on fiction and poetry at Columbia College in Chicago. Still a student, he is a former coffeehouse owner, computer programmer, mountain climber and world traveler. He lives in Chicago and in Monteagle, Tennessee.
