This book on taxation and constitutional principles is divided into two parts. The first part contains an historical survey of the issues. The second part describes the principles contained in the Italian Constitution dealing with taxation. The author discusses at length concepts such as "fiscal sovereignty", "fiscal duty", and tests the "ability to pay" principle.
