This collaboration between Lebanese photographer Hanan Kazma and American poet Richard Leach presents twenty-three of Kazma's photographs and twenty-one of Leach's poems inspired by her work. Kazma's imaginative, expressive photography ranges across urban landscapes and into the personal spaces of her striking self-portraits. The poems are in free verse as well as traditional forms including blues lyrics. The book's title comes from the Herman Melville poem "Art", which concludes the book.
