Her name is Sara. She has no middle or last name because her kind simply aren't given any. She is a subspecies of human called a night walker. They are hairless creatures who burn in direct sunlight and must consume blood for survival. They are not super human immortals. They live and die just like anyone else. Their entire population lives on an island in prison cells owned and operated by the US government. Will is a human doctor working on the island. He and Sara are drawn to each other. Their relationship blossoms into a deep, inseparable love. The existence of the night walkers is a deep government secret, that is until the government decides their existence is a liability and their species must be terminated. Will and Sara race against time to find a way to save her people without being killed, themselves. Will must make the decision whether to sacrifice his humanity and freedom, and possibly his life, to be with the woman he loves. Through bravery and luck, they try to make the existence of the night walkers known to the world. Will they succeed before they are silenced forever? What happens to the night walkers if they do succeed? Will they finally be free after one hundred years of captivity? What will happen to Will if he decides to be transformed? He will no longer be human, but will not be a born night walker either. He'd be the only creature in between two states of being. What must he do to be accepted by his new people? Is their love strong enough to endure the trials of their new existence, or will they be torn apart? This is a night walkers story. It can be read as part of a series or as a stand alone.
