Wouldn't it be great if learning and teaching retail lessons could be more exciting? That is the question that inspired us to write ROCKIN' RETAIL LESSONS. Today we bring to you Volume 1 of what we hope is only the first of several in a series of retail lessons inspired by song titles. You'll learn a little a bit about the history of the song that was the inspiration for each of the forty lessons. We suggest that if you use the lessons in a store meeting that you first play the song whose title the lesson shares. Then, ask your employees to guess what the lesson might be about. Perhaps you'll find that what we chose to teach from the title is different from the ideas that your staff will have. If so you'll have several lessons that we didn't even think of. All of the lessons are short and will take only a few minutes to read and consider. They cover some basic things along with ideas that are more advanced. Therefore, don't think that all of the lessons are strictly for newbies. Even if you're a seasoned veteran you'll find things that you hadn't considered or perhaps had forgotten in the midst of your other repsonsibilities.
