It's the catalogue of the exhibition held from the 13th of April to the 23rd of September 2019 in the Villa Bardini in Florence. Isadora Duncan (1877-1927) was the most influential artist amongst those who, in the beginning of the 20th century, created an idea of dance freed from the rules of romantic ballet with tutus and pointe shoes, thus opening the way to modern dance. Her artistic relationship with numerous Italian and foreign painters and sculptors was intense and based on a mutual exchange of suggestions. The book tells the highlights of Isadora Duncan's presence in Italy and the influence of her innovative choreographic research.
