Since the beginning of the 19th century law was a national science. A hastily growing internationalism and European integration has opened the national legal systems for a new current of influence from other legal systems, and contributed to the making of a new set of international rules. Today, lawyers need to know much more about foreign legal systems and foreign colleagues' way of thinking than before. In the present book members of the staff of the Copenhagen Law Faculty present their field of study or themes of current research in an international perspective. These studies reflect recent tendencies in Danish legal science, and contribute to the knowledge outside Denmark of the Nordic way of legal thinking.
