This is a case and statutory supplement to Owen, Montgomery, and Davis' classic casebook, Products Liability and Safety, Sixth Edition, covering all major aspects of products liability law. This supplement contains the most important recent case law, such as the Supreme Court's very recent decisions continuing its evolution of federal preemption. The supplement also includes the most important statutes in this field of law, such as the most salient federal statutes on products safety and liability, including the statute shielding gun manufacturers, and the Consumer Product Safety Act, as recently amended in significant respects; a comprehensive (rather than representative) collection of state general reform statutes; a sampling of state statutes on particular issues; and Europe's Directive on products liability.
