It is also an established fact, that a counterfeit bill has never yet been made, which, on close inspection, did not disclose its base origin. This is universally admitted by all persons who have had experience in paper money. This should be sufficient to prove that the pres ent style of engraving bank notes is essentially perfect in every respect, and, if generally understood, would be a safeguard against counterfeits of all classes.
